What is JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam?

JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam is the entrance exam conducted by JIPMER to screen candidates for admissions to the MBBS courses at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER).

JIPMER conducts an entrance exam every year in various cities across the country for admission to its MBBS Programs.

jipmerJIPMER MBBS Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must be an Indian National.

Age Limit:

The candidates must have completed 17 years at the time of admission as on December 31, 2013 (candidates must have been born on or before 01-01-1997)

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects.

Students must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in all the subjects (40% for SC/ST)

JIPMER MBBS Paper Pattern:

Based on the syllabus of Class XI & XII of the CBSE Board and the state board.

The exam is conducted in ENGLISH medium only.

The exam will be of multiple choice type questions and each question will have four options.

There will be total 200 in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Duration of Exam: 2 hours 30 minutes

JIPMER Question Paper consists of Objective type of questions as follows:

English- 50 questions; Physics – 50 questions; Chemistry – 50 questions; Biology – 50 questions

JIPMER MBBS Marking Scheme:

1 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
There is no negative marking for wrong attempt.The candidate will not do any rough work or writing work on the Answer Sheet.

All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet itself.

JIPMER MBBS Application process:

The application can be filled online only

After confirmation and receipt of Email/SMS confirming the Email, Mobile no, Students should enter the details in the Online Application Form.

Students should take a printout of the Application form for future reference
