IIFT 2013 Exam – Indian Institute of Foreign Trade

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the country’s foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analysing and disseminating data; and conducting research. IIFT Exam will be conducted to get admission in Management programs.

Written Exam: 24th Nov 2013, Sunday, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon

Last date for obtaining prospectus and receipt of applications for Foreign Nationals/ NRIs/ Children of NRIs: 15th Feb 2014, Monday

IIFT MBA 2013 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates should have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognized university in India or abroad.

Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject of application of proof of requisite qualification by Monday, October 7, 2013.

There is no age limit for applying to the IIFT 2013 exam.

IIFT MBA 2013 Exam Pattern:

The IIFT written entrance exam will be a multiple choice objective type test in English with questions from the following areas:

English Comprehension

General Knowledge & Awareness

Logical Reasoning

Quantitative Analysis

IIFT MBA 2013 Reservation:

Seats are reserved as per Government of India rules.

The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirement of the Institute under different categories.

For Foreign Nationals / NRI / Children of NRIs

Seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals, NRIs and Children of NRIs and the admission is considered on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score of which should not have been declared before 1st January 2012 and should be received by the Institute latest by 31st March 2014.

IIFT MBA 2013 Mode of Admission:

Selection will be on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview.

IIFT MBA 2013 Syllabus:

English Comprehension

Candidates should have sound knowledge of the following topics: Comprehension of passage, Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms , Contextual usage, Analogies, Antonyms, Fill In the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences, Foreign language words used in English, Sentence completion, Sentence correction, odd man out, idioms, one word substitution, Different usage of same word, Errors in word choice, mania & phobia, Incorrect words, Mood, Conditionals & Multiple Usage , Punctuation, Proverb, Phrasal verb etc.
