LLB Entrance Exam – Government of Kerala
Applications are invited for entrance examination for admission to three year LLB course in Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode and Private Self-financing Law Colleges of Kerala.

3 year LL.B Degree Course
The 3 year LL.B Course shall extend to a period of 3 academic years consisting of 6 semesters including practical training.
The duration of each semester shall be five months inclusive of examinations.
There shall be at least 90 instructional days and a minimum of 450 hours of instruction in a semester.
Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the 3 year LL.B degree Course shall have passed any degree examination of the Kerala University or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Kerala University with not less than 45 percent marks in the qualifying degree examination in the case of general category and 40% in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Eligible Communities.
Selection to the course will be made on the basis of personal interview and marks secured in the qualifying degree examination.
No candidate will be admitted to the college unless he/she produces the following documents at the time of admission:
- All mark lists of the qualifying degree examination.
- Transfer certificate from the institution last studied.
- Conduct and character certificate from the institution last studied.
- Eligibility Certificate: Candidates who have passed the qualifying degree examination from any University other than Kerala University shall produce the Eligibility Certificate of the Kerala University at the time of admission.
Eligibility for LLB Entrance Exam:
Applicant should be an Indian Citizen.
Applicant should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.
Candidate should have passed the Bachelor’s Degree Examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (ie., 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together).
Candidates who belong to SC/ST category need only 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
There is no upper or lower age limit.
To qualify in the examination, a General/SEBC applicant should secure a minimum of 10% marks in the Entrance Examination whereas a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% marks.
LLB Entrance Exam pattern:
Exam is of 3 hours and consists of 200 Multiple Choice Questions.
The Questions will cover General English, General Knowledge and Aptitude for Legal Studies.
Allotment of Seats:
The institution wise allotment will be made by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of institutions registered by the candidates during online Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).
The details of CAP will be notified on the website and in leading newspapers.
Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates.
